What I have to say about me:
My passion for birth started about eleven years ago when I became pregnant with my oldest child.
Something deep within told me birth didn't have to be a horrid event like the media had portrayed it.
I delved into every birth related text I could get my hands
on and learned all I could about natural childbirth. I had a beautiful labor and delivery and have been self
educating ever since. I've had five more children and received certification through CAPPA as a labor doula
and childbirth educator. I continue to read and research and have recently begun training as a midwife.
My hope is to help women find the power and strength that
they already posses so their birth can be all they've dreamed it to be.
What my husband has to say about me:
As long as I've known my wife she has had a passion for birth. She wants the women she helps to have the best birth experience they can have and want to have. She has a passion for this subject and if you let her she can talk for days about different aspects of it.
She is currently studying to become a midwife; so she has a lot more birth related knowledge than most other doulas.
What my kids have to say about me:
She helps alot, she'll even do it for free but her time is always limited because of our army of kids ~CJ 12
